London's KDA might have an indefinable identity, but the opposite is true of his music. A DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist, KDA has seen play with the tastemakers of his scene with each release he puts out. His breakout single "Turn The Music Louder (Rumble)" got our attention last year. His latest went through the process just the same, seeing a premiere on Annie Mac's iconic BBC Radio 1 show and later a release on Ministry of Sound. Beyond the UK spotlight, the single features the US's coveted R&B voice Tinashe, and in "Just Say," with KDA's writing and production and Tinashe's oratory, the two found a unique underground house medium.
Now, "Just Say" is emerging again with a new look. Make that, three new looks from Ashley Beedle, Kabuki, and our first listen, Joshua James. An emerging DJ and producer and fellow Londoner, James is a local resident at the city's XOYO and has put his own spin on "Just Say." A uniquely deep and UK club/dub remix, James has clearly taken his experiences DJing and turned them into music.
