Josxph Peters drops the official remix of Sarsha Simone's hit "Casualty" [Premiere]

This June, the Australian R&B goddess Sarsha Simone, released her new single "Casualty" under Still I Rise Records. Two months later, we have been blessed with an official remix of her track by Josxph Peters. The young Nigerian/Australian artist and producer is relatively new to the scene with an ethereal R&B yet crunk style. He is 1/2 of the emerging production duo, The Peters Production (Josxph and Darlington Peters). This remix gives us no doubt that both Sarsha & Josxph are slaying casualties of love.

At first listen, the track sounds like a DJ Mustard type tempo, with those simple electronic tropical sounds that are reminiscent of a xylophone being played underwater. The track then takes an unexpected and sexy turn :48 seconds in —  a rolling trap snare lays alongside a harmonic whine between two samples — one dubbed and the other sped up. The song turns into an anthem real quick, as the production becomes addicting. Sarsha Simone has such a unique sound on the original track — luckily we get multiple tastes of her vocals on the remix. For part of the song, she's singing her normal verse on "Casualty," then the next second Josxph chops and screws the vocal track. This tune leaves us stimulated on a warm summer night — ready to keep turning up, cause this party ain't over yet.
