With chill remixes of songs like "American Boy" (aptly titled Garçon Américain in his rework) and fresh tracks like "Tell Yourself" that will remind you of spring rain, Brighton-based producer Bevan. has made a new transition with his artistry today and it's pretty exciting.

Premiered on BBC 1Xtra last night,"What Am I To Do?" showcases Bevan.'s vocals and songwriting skills for the first time and the result is a delicious concoction of light, carefree production and indie vocals singing about the struggle that is love. Tropical-like synths bounce back and forth conversationally with snaps, crisp percussion, and cheeky cowbells, creating an altogether vibrant and energetic mood. However, the production doesn't take itself too seriously, giving ample space for Bevan. and Tequisha's vocals to breathe as they sing verses like "My breathings heavy now / But it’s even worse when I’m looking at you" and "So come and try me baby / Take me out and treat a lady". Twinkling xylophone and marimba slowly seep their way into the track as it starts to calm down. Ultimately, the track ends on a resounding note, with vocals singing "Cause I got just what you need / And you can find out with me" finishing up the track.
"What Am I To Do" is the first track from Bevan.s' upcoming "Love Eternal" EP this year, and it's an optimistic foresight of what the other five tracks may have in store for listeners. Get excited, folks.
