Now here is something we can all get behind. It's my pleasure to introduce you to black., a group of friends who share both an immense passion for bass music and a desire to give back. Where some might look for opportunities to make profit for themselves, they aim to find ways in which they can provide for others. With the help of Cadence & Cause, each compilation released through black. will directly benefit those in need through partnerships with different charitable organizations. For a small (or large) donation you not only receive an entire compilation but also the piece of mind that just by sharing their passion for bass music you did your part in helping someone less fortunate.

black. Vol. 1 features the organization Youth On Record which provides at-risk teens in the Denver, CO area with access to music education as well as guidance to succeed as leaders of tomorrow. Almost all members of black. have been fortunate enough to have some sort of music education so its great to see them take initiative to help provide that opportunity for others.

“black. was just the next step in a natural progression of our group of friends. It's moreso a family, a group of individuals passionate about music. The days are few and far between where we aren’t with each other. We share our resource, we celebrate in each other's successes, we feed off each other's energy, and we love helping each other reach our goals, so when we brought up the concept of helping others it resonated instantly with all of us. We want to make a positive impact on the world and now with black., we have this platform where we can do good with every compilation being directed at a different cause.”

– G-Rex

“When the idea of black. was first introduced to me I was immediately fully behind it. As an artist i’ve always wanted to bring something to the community, and black. allows us to not only bring good music to the table, but to help people in need at the same time.”

– Kompany

“black. is more than a collective to me. It's a family of people who all back each other and want what's best for each other and we want to do the same for the world. For us, music is all we have. There's no option B, and we thrive on that. We aim to give other people the opportunity to get further in whatever it is they thrive on.”

– Adair

"When the idea of black. was brought up I was immediately on board. We decided to bring together some of our best friends both IRL and URL to create a collective that gave back to the music community. Music is a huge part of all of our lives so it's awesome that we can help give others the opportunity to create and find their inner artist."
