Mild High Club's "Homage" is a swirling psychedelic ride

Mild High Club's latest cut "Homage" is a vernacular effort, one that quite playfully mimics an extremely pleasant (yet warped) carousel ride with ease.

"Homage" acts as our first taste of forthcoming album Skiptracing (out Aug 26/16 via Stones Throw Records), which by default exists as a follow-up to 2015's Timeline. As noted within a press release, Mild High Club founder Alexander Brettin explains that “the difference between Timeline and Skiptracing is detail." Instead of resorting to "vague lyrics so as to highlight the music itself," Skiptracing explores a more complex side of Brettin's psyche, manifesting within the album's narrative arc which is that of a “private investigator attempting to trace the steps of the sound and the spirit of American music.”
