Foursix is an eclectic music collective and art label out of NYC comprised of Amoedo, Ashlee, J-Payso, Jahnei, Verdé Madera, Zach Day, and Zino.

Before you listen the song you should take a hot second to peep this link which will lead you to:

  1.  Foursix's creative homepage to get a lil taste of their flava
  2. A super fucking lit freeze frame (that appears to be a middle aged man getting twerked on by a female, said female is potentially wearing yoga pants)
  3. Do you even need a reason 3 to proceed any further? Trust me, I'm doing you a favor.

Now that you spent way longer than a hot second on that website because it's mad fresh and incredibly creatively stimulating; you're probably ready to listen to the collectives newest release, "LVL 1".

Each member of Foursix has got an individuality that curates a distinct harmonic chemistry when they all link up. These creatives are singers, rappers, producers, artists and writers that have different form of artistic outlets, but have found their collective voice within music.

"LVL 1" features Verdé Madera spitting on the first verse. His OG annunciation accompanies a clean cadence that flawlessly flows over this experimental production. After some urban dictionary digging, I realized "LVL" comes from videos games, which makes so much sense. I now understand the nature of the diss track and also the sounds within the production. All those noises have to have come from a video game! And all that shit talking has to come from the first time you probably noticed the competitive nature within yourself as a young buck on the sticks. J-Payso comes in hot on the second verse with an addicting deep tone of voice. Everything is extremely fluid in this track but at the same time meticulously calculated; the breathing patterns within the flows, the sounds & snaps in the production, down to the harmonic properties over the melody. "LVL 1" came from the creative stimulation the crew received after they created "Favors".
"We had just recorded Favors that day and we felt so good about it we wanted to carry that energy into a new song. A few hours later LVL1 happened so we figured it was only right to drop it next”
And BOOM. Just like that, magic was made.
