Earlier this year, London gained an impressive duo to watch in HOST. Debuting with an EP on B3SCI Records, the guys are in touch with their music, which is a unique, modern blend of genre-bending electronic sounds. All most likely because they met over their love for 70's and 80's electronica – specifically NewOrder – and decided to make some of their own.
"that existential feeling late in the night when you start to question your existence during a break from the dance floor… or the moment when you awake and realise The Haçienda is now just a block of flats"
HOST's musical style is a total derivative of their inspirations – a blending of everyday life, distilled moments and modernity into a blend of pop, electronica, house and disco. In each of their released tracks – "All Night Every Night" and "State of Your Soul," it's hard to predict what's next in only the most pleasing way. In honor of the release of their EP, we invited HOST to craft an exlcusive mix for us to really fan out what they've got in store in future music, as well as in their in-the-works live electronic show.
