In January 2016, Brooklyn's beloved electro pop duo Chairlift released their third studio album, Moth, to critical acclaim. After following the release with a North American tour and some production work for Beyonce on Lemonade, Chairlift has released their most upbeat track from the album yet, "Moth to the Flame." A nod to the album's title (or vice versa), the track is infectious pop with a contemporary edge that only comes with extra knowledge of the world of electronica. And today, a stunning remix of the song has been released.
Taking on "Moth to the Flame" is fellow New York-based production duo Whatever Whatever. Known for upbeat deeper tracks in their own right, they've put an impressively groovy veil over Chairlift's latest. Using gritty industrial samples as well as funky and entrancing basslines, Whatever Whatever has added an element of mystery to the track through their remix. Out today, the remix is streaming on Vevo and via iTunes.
