N.Y.C. based multimedia artist Xhosa has been known for blending the boundaries of genre in order to form a wholy unique strain of art-pop that draws from 80's new wave, R&B, & hip-hop. She was recently featured in PAPER Magazine for a collaboration with visual artist Hattie Ball, where they unveiled a pair of experimental interpretations of her singles "Feel Real" and "Rawww". But today, the innovative songstress has decided to release a more "conventional" video for "Feel Real", directed, shot, and edited by Crying Connor. The psychedelic visual features Xhosa in all of her mystical glory, frolicking through an array of NY locales with a band of care-free associates.
“The funny thing about this track is that I wrote it when I was 15 about my first experiences smoking weed. The first few times were so intense it felt like I was entering a new reality. At the same time I felt more alive than ever. It was surreal and I had to write about it.”
