Spinnin Records's Spinnin Deep offshoot is frequently in the spotlight, signing releases cater to soulful and chilled out house that frequently gain internet notoriety and live set play. But this week, they've given us something a little bit different than what we're used to seeing out of the Dutch powerhouse, in the form of a track called "Ecstasy."
The product of a collaboration between the frequent team of French DJ and producer and nu disco pioneer Lifelike and house veteran Kris Menace, "Ecstasy" is an homage to today's house music and club culture's ancestry. Brimming with acidic electro synths and retro beats, "Ecstasy" is just as infectious as its title suggests, easily invoking the carefree nature of house and disco in the 1990s.
