Wingtip has a special place in our hearts here at EARMILK and he only surpasses our expectations with each forthcoming release. The producer formerly worked under the moniker Flaxo and has since redirected his music into a matured and solidified sound that dabbles in old-school funk meets modern day electronic. Favourites "With Me" and "Daydream" possess pseudo retro vibes as the dimensional tracks are doused in nu-disco grooves that have sonically teleported through time.
In Wingtip's latest "Eventually", the producer tackles a slightly different approach in comparison to the rest of his library. The track still retains that sonic warmth present in his signature aesthetic, but highlights an appreciation in synthetic sound with the infectious melody looping. An idyllic marriage of bright synth leads within organic soulful samples, Wingtip has instilled a fire into our cerebrums, titilating both strands of nostalgia and our curiosity for innovation in his sound. "Eventually" only fortifies our appreciation for the Wingtip's musical redirection in bridging the gap between vintage tones and newer technologies to aid in indelible sound design.
