UK based Drum & Bass connoisseur Muzzy is best known for his fast-paced sound and electrifying tracks loaded with vivacious energies. Since becoming a signee in 2011, the long-time Monstercat affiliate has set up a inexplicable sound that serves as both cinematic and conceptual. The artist shows a unique approach to his track with a sci-fi approach in voice-overs used, creating both an audial and visual experience for fans. The consistently moving energy and journey-like experience present in several Muzzy classics including "Endgame" and "Lost Metropolis" highlight a true art form in his work. What Muzzy had done in his artistry is develop interpretive music meant to be conceptually dissected. Taking us through other-worldly narratives through vibrating sound waves, Muzzy has mastered the notion of meshing story-telling within complex sound designs.
Early in April the producer teased a short 360° snippet on YouTube, featuring an ominous landscape alongside the Monstercat logo. After about a year long hiatus, surely enough, Muzzy is back and set to release F Minor Factory EP on May 6th. His first release "Junction Seven" is full of peculiar industrial sound over a menacing beat heavy with grit. The track starts off with rolling melodies and a waving brass reminiscent of action-packed cinema or an intro to a future sci-fi James Bond film. "Play" takes on a different approach but still highlights Muzzy's matured sound. The track features vocals from duo UK:ID hailing from Glastonbury. The rock influenced track is complete with smooth vocal work, grilling guitar and penetrating drum patterns. With the two powerful releases of four tracks off the F Minor Factory EP out, it's expected the rest of the EP will be only more loud and gripping.
