Philadelphia-based producer Tyler Minford – aka Louis Futon – is an undoubted force in the new electronic scene. After making his name through a string of stellar remixes, including an absolute standout remix of Gallant's "Weight in Gold" last year, Minford entered 2016 in a big way with the wonderful "Wasted on You" on ODESZA's Foreign Family imprint. His most recent release is the latest addition to the growing list of remixes of Rüfüs Du Sol's Bloom EP, with Louis Futon taking on one of it's best tracks, the very well-received "You Were Right".
Preserving the laid-back chord progressions and vocals of the original, Futon maintains the feel of Rüfüs Du Sol's soulful house original through the first minute, before transferring effortlessly into his own style of spacious, majestic future bass in the drop. The bright, rising synthesisers and high-pitched vocal drones, combined with Rüfüs' beautiful lyrics makes this one of Louis Futon's best works yet. Enjoy!
