There's hardly anyone who could call themselves a collaborator with Boards of Canada. The duo is notoriously introverted, as if they live in their own little bubble over in Scotland. Remixing or being remixed by BoC is generally as close as any outsiders will get, and no one has enjoyed that privilege more than the founding members of cLOUDDEAD. The experimental rap group's track "Dead Dogs Two" received a now-famous Boards of Canada remix back in 2003, and the favor was returned by cLOUDDEAD's producer Odd Nosdam and his monolithic version of "Dayvan Cowboy."
Those remixes came out years ago, but lately the trend has come alive again. Boards of Canada recently remixed a track by cLOUDDEAD rapper Doseone's new band, Nevermen. Only a month later, they're back again with a rework of Nosdam and his new album's title track, "Sisters." These artists are all weathered veterans at this point, and it's great to see them working together and creating. Check out the psychedelic video for Boards of Canada's "Sisters" remix below.
