UK production duo Stööki Sound are all about collaborating. They’ve remixed the likes of Goldlink, UZ, Missy Elliott and others, frequently giving a nod to their favorite music by bringing new ways to spin their already unique bass sound. This week, we have a first listen to their latest work: a remix of Latroit’s “Need You Tonight.”

Latroit is another rising talent in the electronic production world, with a modern sound built that’s everything from industrial to nu disco. Building an identity over his years being raised in Detroit, and now fully cultivated living in Los Angeles, Latroit’s inspiration and name have been heavily influenced from his experiences in both cities. “Need You Tonight” is a nu disco track with heavy funk and disco influences, and with Stööki Sound’s slowed down, bass-heavy rework, has a new look with hip hop-infused electronica. Out soon, the remix package for the track will also include looks from Le Youth, Fawks and others.
