Ireland's Reuben Keeney is a producer and DJ who has flown just below the radar for years with his chill, melodic take on house music. But it seems he's setting out to make bigger waves in 2016, with his first release of the year coming to Vicious Bitch, an outlet that curates a variety of house and indie dance music as its releases.
Following up a cover of "Sweet Child of Mine," Keeney's latest asserts his style. "Better Run" samples a powerful and alluring gospel/Motown male vocal, taking that original's jazz and blues roots and bringing them to a new laid back and upbeat place.
