French producer 20syl killed it in 2015 with his glitched out Motifs II EP as well as electronic remixes for Ed Sheeran, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Ibrahim Maalouf and others. He kicked off the new year with a radio-friendly remix of Yael Naim's infectious hit "Walk Walk," and now he's released his first original tune of 2016, in the form of the funky and retro-sounding yet forward-looking "Inertia." Like a lot of 20syl's music, "Inertia" is fun and uplifting.
But this new song comes with a message too. On the SoundCloud page for "Inertia", 20syl writes that all sales revenue from the new song will go towards A Syrian Dream, an organization that is working to provide education and psychological support to children from Syria living in refugee camps in Turkey. So give the song a listen below, and if you like it, go ahead and buy it on iTunes or elsewhere online knowing that you'll be supporting a good cause.
