Whether teamed up with Matt Van Schie for Du Tonc, or flying solo, Mighty Mouse keeps churning out track after track of aural butter. His latest masterpiece comes in the form of a remix of Air Zaire’s tune “Love 94,” which has been stirring up some damage of its own.
Both versions of the track play into people’s desires for those warm weather, tropical vibes. Air Zaire gives the original this insanely silky blissful presence, where Mighty Mouse is clearly ready for a beach party. Mighty Mouse strips away most of the vocals and goes in deep with his signature style of swirling, cosmic house disco. The piano bits are groovy, the liquor flows through the bouncing bass line, and everyone is having a good time.
