French production duo Daft Punk has proven their ability to master the element of surprise. Releasing music after years of silence and setting trends in electronic music with their Grammy-winning productions isn't all they are doing either, as they demonstrated today. Though we know Daft Punk for their artfully and meticulously well-thought out releases and strategy, today their company Daft Arts debuted a wonderfully thoughtful series of advertisements for the duo's merchandise. Featuring iconic brands from 1980's pop and material culture, the impressive nod to history is just as fun as the search to find what the actual Daft Punk merchandise is in each witty ad. Check out some of the ads below and follow their merch on Instagram.
