Once again proving that genius things are happening in Australia, I’ve been introduced to producer Sondrio and can had him to my ever growing list of Australian go-to's. Remix after remix, track after track, Sondrio has tackled names like Calvin Harris and Chet Faker for some massive and quality house remixes. Sondrio is back with a new remix of Baio, whom you may recognize as the bassist of Vampire Weekend.
Baio has this fresh style of house, but Sondrio takes things deeper and gets super chic with "Brainwash Yyrr Face." The chopped, pitched-up vocals were one of the best parts about the original, and the way they translate into Sondrio’s remix is brilliant.
If you're looking for something textured, a little cute, and even quirky at times, you should check out Baio. His album The Names is out now via Glassnote Records. This Sondrio remix is going to be released mid-November as part of a release called The Names: Expansion Pack.
