EARMILK x Iceland Airwaves 2015 [Festival Preview]

Iceland Airwaves has come a long way since the very first edition of the music festival which was held in an airplane hangar back in 1999. Since the beginning of its inception, Airwaves has consistently showcased a vast array of music (both Icelandic and otherwise) and as a result has (accurately) been coined as one of the hippest festival destinations in the world. The likes of Florence and the Machine, Wolf Parade, and Flaming Lips, as well as notable Icelandic acts such as Sigur Rós, FM Belfast, and múm have played in past years.

2015's line-up seems to (arguably) be one of the best yet. It's no surprise that it's sold out. As far as Icelandic bands go, we've got Vök, Júníus Meyvant, Low Roar, Soley & many, many more playing alongside worldwide acts like Beach House, Ariel Pink, Operators, Father John Misty, HINDS and Flo Morrissey.

Check out what we're most excited to see in our Spotify playlist below. There are some good jams in there to either get you pumped about the festival (for those of you coming) or really, really bummed (for those of you who aren't).

See you lucky few next week at the Blue Lagoon?
