Arms & Sleepers share "Birth Echoes" from new conceptual EP 'Force Majeure'

Having returned from a two year hiatus with last year's triumphant Swim Team LP, Boston's Arms & Sleepers is back and busier than ever, readying multiple new releases while touring far and wide.  The duo recently offered up a brief split EP with Sun Glitters, and up next is Force Majeure.

Described by the band as "the closest to a concept release that we'll get," the EP explores the concept of life's journey, "starting with the nascent pulses and ending with the last breath."  You can now hear the first part of the journey, "Birth Echoes," ahead of the EP's December 8 release.  Continuing the warm sound Arms & Sleepers have adopted lately, the track gently builds and rises through layers of pulsing, glowing fog, full of wonder and anticipation as the title suggests.  Looks like Force Majeure will be less beat-oriented and more cinematic than Swim Team.

Having recently raised a tidy sum of money on Kickstarter, Arms & Sleepers are giving us our money's worth.  Aside from Force Majeure, they have the Miami EP in the works, as well as a collection of Swim Team remixes.  Stream "Birth Echoes" and check out upcoming tour dates below.

I received my degree in English from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, and Virginia is still home. Apart from my yearly pilgrimage to Moogfest and occasional shows in DC, Detroit, and New York, I like to stick to the fringes, with an eye always open toward music that is forward-thinking and unique, whatever the genre.
