Camden, New Jersey emcee Sweet Da Kid is premiering his video for "When I Blow" on the MILKYsphere, and we could not be more delighted. In said video, the enigmatic, ski-masked rapper reveals little about his identity — save for his gold grill — but leastwise tells the world what he plans to do when he blows the eff up. The flick, directed by RAGE (Busta Rhymes, Lil Kim), shows Sweet enjoying the finer things in life, like cooking bacon with his bae (who also rocks a ski mask) and hitting up the beach with his compadres. Sweet's country twang and endearing chorus over Salaam Remi's mellow production are a welcome departure from what could have easily been a bass-thumping trap anthem. Sweet instead keeps it simple, and indicates this simplicity might not change much — even when he adds some commas to his bank account.
"When I Blow" is off Sweet's Your Mother's Other Son EP, which is available for stream and free download.
