Moon Boots joins Anjunadeep for "Red Sky"

We've watched Chicago's Moon Boots make his mark in the electronic music scene over the past few years through releases that have a range in style, but all have one end game. Moon Boots' music has become a home for nostalgia, hooking fans in with its moodiness and disco grooves.

This week he's returned to Anjunadeep, the deep house division of Above & Beyond's Anjunabeats label, after remixing Lane 8's "Loving You" earlier this year. But this time it's for an original release entitled "Red Sky."

This isn't the first we've heard of "Red Sky," as it was featured on the chart-topping Anjunadeep 07 annual showcase release. But the track was such a favorite on the compilation album that it's getting its own spotlight this time, and it's definitely deserved: the single is glittering with techy, slightly eerie synths that contrast with the moody undertones, bassline and retro vocal sampling. All making for a chilled out masterpiece, this one's out via Beatport this week.
