While very few producers productions get dubbed with the accolade of creating an "anthem," Jacob Plant strikes yet again blessing 2015 with another house anthem titled, “Reflections” which will be released on November 27th on Skint Records. This impeccable studio-effort features the melodic vocals of UK singer/songwriter Example creating what may have become one of the year’s most versatile collaborations.
From a production point of view, "Reflections" is nothing short of marvelous. Assuming Example had a key role in the creation of the track this song is a one that will stay relevant and popular for years to come. Starting off with some contemplative harmonious piano chords, it follows up with a glistening shudder of a high-hat. We then welcome Examples vocals into the mix: you can hear him rap over parts of the track, making it even more intriguing. This sonic soundscape walks itself into a sporadic drop-down tempo followed up by some heavy analog bass convulsions that add the groove dance floors call. This studio effort by the two is simply incredible. From every direction you look at it, the artistic creation involved has made this record into one well-oiled machine.
