Landmark is a producer who has been gunning to make his mark in the tech house and techno game since 2010 and his first successful release, "Ham Bur Ger." Since then, he's been labels like Deeperfect, and in the spring of 2015 became the head of A&R of the underground division of The Cube Guys's up and coming label, Cube Recordings. This week he's joined the label with a release of his own, entitled "Hot Freak," and it's a groovy, declarative style statement for both himself and what we can expect from his expanding music and talent going forward. Featuring a lot of cuts, chops, horn synths, highs and lows and classically Italian house grooves, the track strikes our nostalgia with sampled vocals that have found their way into tracks like Missy Elliott's "Lose Control" in the past. The track's title, "Hot Freak," is an homage to that original early house track, done by Hot Streak, entitled "Body Work."
