Liverpool’s Daryl David is quickly showing he’s one to watch as we approach the release of his debut EP. After launching his first single, “Tonight,” the young producer has not only garnered some blog attention, but also the attention of BBC Radio 1. “I just want to capture what it feels to be free and put that in my music,” says David. Today, EARMILK is excited to bring you the first taste of Daryl David’s next single called “Want You.”
Instead of feeling more like the anthemic pop rock ballad that we got from “Tonight,” “Want You” takes things in a dancier direction. The tender instrumentation and emotive vocals come back with this single, but the sleek house vibes of “Want You” create a totally different result. David takes all the right cues from pop, especially with structure, and it makes for some infectious and fun bits when the chorus rolls around.
