It would be a sin to not be familiar with the almighty DJ Premier even if you're not a hip hop head. Responsible for producing some of the best tracks for Nas, Jay Z, The Notorious B.I.G., and countless other artists—we even have to give him props for his collab with Christina Aguilera—the Houston-born, Brooklyn-based heavyweight is responsible for transporting listeners to the heart of New York with his infectious, head nodding music. And even though he's gained a myriad of accolades over the years, he continues to perfect his craft with every he beat he makes.
With his new band, The Batter, Preemo took the time while on tour throughout Europe to give us a taste of what we can expect to hear. "Bpatter" keeps things simple as we get a series of shots of the band bouncing between New York and Germany. Each member of the band is on point; we get a mix powerful drums laced with an extrodinary bass and horn section (hell, even Preemo looked like he was gonna spit a hot 16 for us).
