This isn't the first we've seen of Australian singer-songwriter Josef Salvat's "Open Season." The track was a part of a career-defining EP release in late 2014 aptly titled In Your Prime, and has since seen millions of streams (4.6 million on Spotify to be exact), and remixes from artists-turned-fans like The Chainsmokers. Then in July, the single got a cheeky music video to bring its audio-visual potential to life.

Today, we've got a first listen to one of the track's official remixes, this time from one of our top picks of producers to watch in 2015, Gryffin. Beginning his production career as one half of the duo behind White Panda, Gryffin has in one year made a statement with his brand and the type of music he stands for as a solo artist. He's continued on that road with his remix of "Open Season," putting an uplifting, pop and future trap hybrid of a spin on the original's moody indie feeling. Some of the appeal of Salvat's track is in the addictive vocal melody, and here, Gryffin has matched that with just as infectious production that add a new layer of depth to the song. Check it out below.
