In a music scene that is so over saturated and competitive, it can be very difficult to set yourself apart and bring something fresh to the ever extending table. Therefore praise of the highest order is necessary for Berlin based SIS who, through the Waifs & Strays imprint Crosstown Rebels, has delivered a record unlike anything you will have heard this year.

The track opens with an authentic latin american guitar riff reminiscent of a Tarantino opening sequence. Once both the scene and the sun are set,  lively percussion and a voluptuous bass line sweep you up onto horse back and gallop you towards the extraordinary vocal from Eduardo Castillo. The entire record is a rich culture trip through the artists mind, careering the listener through cobbled streets, baron deserts and rocky mountains. The inspiration for the piece of music came from Argentine singer Mercedes Sosa, who no doubt would have appreciated this contemporary twist on the musical roots that stemmed her illustrious career. You'll be able to purchase this intelligent, energetic record from the 4th of September.
