In case you missed it: Carmack’s fire remix of Big Sean’s “Sanctified”

Whether Mr. Carmack is a genre, or a movement, or a glorified idol, there’s one thing for sure: he’s built an unwavering and insatiable fan base. I’m sure you’ve heard his hit R&B tune, “All In,” with budding superstar, Kehlani, (cooked up for Adidas Originals and Yours Truly’s #songsfromscratch series), but don’t let this Big Sean remix go under your radar. Carmack took Big Sean’s version of “Sanctified,” and turned the club song into a summer-festival-ready banger. I was obsessed with this incredibly magnetic Betty Wright sample for the original bridge, so I was glad Carmack brought this back under a muzzled radio effect. Then Big Sean’s hook is launched into a vortex and seized by galactic fire. Carmack will hopefully be heading to a festival near you: HARD Summer (LA), Shambala (Canada), POSITIV (France), and Holy Ship (Miami).
