One of my favorite things to do while at music festivals is put together my list of acts to see, sort of like a punctual schedule (relatively more punctual than in real life). From there, I love to see other people's perspective. The crazy thing about Coachella was that most of the people in the group I went with had no idea who Mac Demarco was. This obviously prompted me to round up everyone for that midday show at the Outdoor Theater, where just about 14 people's lives were changed by Mac and his band of misfits.
Demarco has been atop the most watched artists this summer as his next project Another One is slated for August 7. With that we have received a few singles, including one today called "I've Been Waiting For Her". The new drop in August will supposedly be a "mini-album" but we'll take anything we can from the bucktooth, surf-rock, Pabst Blue Ribbon drinking lead singer. If you didn't know, he released a nine track BBQ project called Some Other Ones last week. It doesn't seem that he puts much thought into the title of his projects, but that focus on the music works to his advantage. It's a brand that no one in music today can pull off, and he does it perfectly.
Check out "I've Been Waiting For Her" below, and get ready for Another Ones in August.
