Eric Prydz has unveiled his latest release, just after releasing the first of ten Pryda 10 EPs last week to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the label. Over the weekend, he teamed up with Zane Lowe to officially debut his next track: the 9-minute long literal "Opus."
Debuted as the closing track to his EDC Las Vegas performance, "Opus" is another reason why 2015 has been a massive year for the Swedish LA-based producer. He's shocked those with his live performances, playing as himself and Cirez D, taking on the A State of Trance festival and debuting some of the industry's most impressive production alongside his music.
"Opus" defines what many have fallen in love with of Prdyz's production style: layered, emotive, ebbing and flowing progression. Driven by his signature synth chords, the track opens simply but builds in complexity to create a dynamic, symphonic movement, so much so that this one almost belongs in the trance family of his musical resume. It's out July 27th via Pryda Recordings, and streamable here.
