Chris Lake provides a fresh take on Aston Merrygold’s “Get Stupid”

Los Angeles based producer Chris Lake has been exceptionally busy this year, releasing remixs for the likes of Fono, Grades, Jess Glynn, and, most notably, his remix of SNBRN’s “California,” all while releasing some original content as well. His streak seems like it’s without end with the announcement of his upcoming remix of the radio friendly “Get Stupid” by Aston Merrygold, out July 24h via Warner Music UK.

The original gets such a house overhaul that if it were not for the somewhat distorted yet still easily recognizable vocals, it would be a completely different track. Chris Lake sets the tone with a crisp percussion providing the perfect groundwork for the fat basslines and synth work to follow taking the vocals on quite the journey. With its lightweight feel, this remix is sure to light up some dance floors soon.
