Jess Glynne's star power shines on "Don't Be So Hard On Yourself"

Jess Glynne has been a popstar in the making for a few years now.  First, the British songstress lent her immense vocal talent to Route 94's deep house classic "My Love," which hit number one on the UK charts.  She pulled off another worldwide number one last year singing on Clean Bandit's "Rather Be."  She's had a few hits since then, singing with Tinie Tempah, over betas by Gorgon City and with Clean Bandit again, but none smash quite as hard as her new single "Don't Be So Hard On Yourself."

The song gets right into things, as simple piano chords and a sparse beat build with Glynne's soulful vocals into a glimmering, irresistible, feel-good hook complemented with a broader array of instruments.  The real attraction here though is Glynne's voice, which shines and soars throughout, further demonstrating that she's the real thing: a popstar who can really sing.  She hopes to show that off — and gain some traction across the pond — on her forthcoming U.S. tour, with stops in New York, LA, San Francisco and D.C.  Check out her new single below.
