Though not new to the scene, French artist Fakear has become a true sensation over the last year with 2014's Sauvage and his forthcoming EP, Asakusa. Following in the footsteps of many his fellow countrymen, the innovative electronic producer continues to carve a new path with the 4-track release that balances oft uptempo rhythms and syncopated beats with soothing melodies and clear instrumentality. Most of the EP already has surfaced online, both released in France and through Fakear's own Soundcloud, but today we have this hemisphere's official first listen to the remaining track, "Ueno". Starting off with delicate piano notes and slowly introducing light touches of percussion, the work immediately transports you to another place and time, one that exists only through Fakear's imaginative electronic renderings.
