Belgium's Netsky has promised a strong end to 2015. The electronic producer who has so famously brought together drum and bass, electro, pop and a live show into one place has been teasing his latest work in his performances and as of a few months ago, on his SoundCloud page. While "Can't Speak" has a release date to be determined, his next single was just premiered on an even bigger platform.
Annie Mac has proved herself to be one of dance and electronic music's biggest taste makers with her weekly Friday evening broadcast on BBC Radio 1. Her latest episode just aired, and Netsky debuted another single for the future.
"Rio" features a slower tempo than what we're used to hearing from Netsky, and within a few seconds of listening we can tell it's something deeper than what we are used to hearing. Partnering with Digital Farm Animals on vocals, there's a softness that emulates the carefree ideology that the vocal brings through. That vocal is pretty simple, yet totally entrancing. Out soon on Sony, "Rio" can only be the start of some more great things from Netsky.
