We've seen Dutch artist Funkerman as DJ, producer and head honcho over at Can You Feel It Records. His style has remained beyond the current trends, giving us quality over quantity of well thought out house tunes. This week, with his latest release, he's taken a bit of an experimental turn just in time for the summer season. Forbidden Ritual is a collaboration with The Voices, and ventures down into guttural, organic territory. Each of the three tracks has its own world music take on dance, with "Higher" emulating deep house and "Forbidden Ritual" taking the cake as the EP's stand out track with its progressive house structure.
