GDNA aims to modernize soul with the “Quadrants” EP

So-cal based producer/singer GDNA has had our attention throughout most of 2015 thanks to his steady output of inventive cover songs and singles that were released in preparation of his newest project, Quadrants. The 7 track EP was clearly worth the wait, as it has proven to be 25 year old's most concise body of work yet. GDNA manages to carve an unique lane for himself with a sound heavily indebted by 90's R&B/soul, while also drawing influence from more innovative movements in the realm of electronic music such as Chicago footwork and the LA beat scene. It is an imaginative body of work that tackles the complexities of modern day courtship through lofty synth melodies and introspective songwriting.
