Santa Barbara's Candyland has returned to the trap scene to release her latest track, "Murda." You might remember Candyland as a duo, as they are pictured lots of places on the web, but the underground's leading dub/electro name is now the masterminded solo project of afro-toting Josie Martin. Joining 12th Planet's label, SMOG, on the release, it's one that as per usual can't be pegged as one sound. With the general cheekiness we expect from Candyland, the track has all the bass you'd expect, with moombahton and major hip hop elements making giving the track its booty shakin' appeal. With some strikes of electro shaking the ground along the way, "Murda" proves that there is still a lot to be done in the harder side of dance music.
