I thought life couldn’t get any better, but it did when TrapDoor Records dropped this track. Masego and (dc) have collaborated in the past on a joint called “Sushi,” now they’re back with an official release called “De Nada”. With (dc)’s incredible versatility in genre appeal and Masego’s “synth, trap, and arbitrary sax”, they’ve created a groove that easily establishes them as uprising talents. “De Nada” features snippets of Masego’s improvisational-like vocalizations, which is between a rap and do-wop beat. Letting beat aficionado (dc) take control of the rhythm and lead out the session, Masego comes back in with brass riffs.
Do not sleep on these two! Both as a collaboration pair and as individual artists who continue to push the limits of their sound. These musicians are loaded with potential and are leading the underground sound. Keep an eye out for (dc) and Masego and take a listen below. You can also support them on iTunes or Spotify if that tickles your fancy.
