I have no idea why I have been hooked on his stuff, but up and comer Post Malone has created a fan base almost instantly this spring, with his drop of the hugely successful track "White Iverson". The reason this is so interesting to me is that his music goes against everything I've shown admiration for before.
Perhaps the saying "step out of your comfort zone" is the reason I'm so into it, but I love Malone's eerie, soft atmosphere mixed with extremely pleasing verses. Today I have a new one from him last week titled "Too Young", backed by the whole block, including producers FKi, The MeKanics, and Justin Mosely. I will say that the production is more complex in this one, but it's apparent that Malone wants to continue the buzz around his first track. It's strikingly similar to "White Iverson" but still allows us to witness the first hint at what his progression will be. My guess is this isn't the last tune we'll see with that "White Iverson" signature on it.
