There's always a few artists that we listen to that we think, those guys have serious potential, and Mar from Full Crate x Mar has been one of those guys we've been eagerly keeping our eyes on. With stunning vocals that cascade over Full Crate's amazingly catchy tunes, we can't help but be entranced by the magic they are spitting out.

We're super excited to help this project come to see the light of day, and today we are excited to see that "She's a Dancer" is out to the world. The track, which sees production from Sebastian Carter, features stunning production work with spectacular vocals. Mar's ability to highlight desire, pain, and a whole range of emotions is fantastic, and it's expertly depicted in this piece.

We also got the chance to ask some questions. Check out what he has to say below.

EARMILK: Hey Mar, thanks for talking to us! We’re super excited for your solo EP to come out, what was your main inspiration to step away from dance music (with your work with Full Crate)?
MAR: Hey guys, thanks for having me. [I] appreciate the support from EARMILK. Crate and myself have been working and developing our sound for a long time. And when u work together u surprise each other with individual input, which forms new ideas. Ideas u wouldnt come up with if u were just working by yourself. Thats what I like about the FCXM project. But I have stories to tell that I can only express fully through my vision in sound and feel. And right now its time to share these with u all.

EM: What are your essentials in the studio?
MAR: I believe it always starts with a sound (and dimlight places). Even if I already have an idea of how the song should go, the sound of the chord or melody leads my  feeling. And therefore the lyrics and meaning.
EM: We always love learning what our favorite artists are listening to. Who are you playing during your down time? Who are you biggest influences?
MAR: At the moment I'm not really listening to anything in particular. I'm open to play some stuff if I read about it and I support when it surprises me. For instance, "Cause I'm a Man" from Tame Impala. Blood Orange I digg. I recently heard about Connan Mockasin. Love his feel too.

My biggest influences. Mmmh. I come from listening alot to D'angelo, Musiq Soulchild, and Glenn Lewis back when I was in high school. This is where me and Crate connected too. "Neo soul music".

The last couple of years I've been studying more of the influences that were given to me when I was younger like Stevie Wonder, Simon and Garfunkel, the Weather Report, Prince, Walt Disney soundtracks, Jimi Hendricks, Hatfield and the North, Jeff Buckley, James Brown, Fleetwood Mac, Michael Jackson and Nirvana.

MAR: What advice would you give any singers out there looking for their break?
EM: Make good stuff first. Music you connect with. Show us the real you. Second, surround yourself with people who believe in you, who are willing to invest. Team is everything. You can do everything by yourself, but its a waste of time and energy if you do. To each his own; the rest will follow.
EM: What else can fans expect from you in 2015?
MAR: More stories from me. Thru visuals as well as more music. And I hope to connect w u #whenwemeet

Thanks Mar! Make sure to show him love below.
