Based out of Copenhagen, Reptile Youth has been making his rounds on the music scene with his psychedelic indie sound. Known for his expansive vocals, Mads Damsgaard Kristiansen (Reptile Youth) has continued his natural progression where Reptile Youth can now be considered a collective of artists and thoughts that translate their many styles of music into cohesive songs. After two full-length albums and extensive touring, Mads decided to bring his talent to LA where he recorded his forthcoming EP Away. Today, we bring you the title-track off of the EP, a great introduction to Reptile Youth's evolving sound.
Beginning in a mysterious fashion, "Away" moves through many reflective tones as it continues down an offbeat path. Playing more like a composition than your typical indie song, "Away" introduces both stringed instruments and grand pianos into layers of electronic bliss. Tying the entire song together are Mad's genuine vocals as they navigate the lush backings with ease.
