It's not often you see a collaborative effort between two labels like the one we've seen today on DC Breaks's remix of Eelke Kleijn's "Mistakes I've Made." Kleijn's release went viral last fall ahead of its release on Spinnin' Records. The Dutch artist's lighthearted new wave style of deep house and pop is part of a newer sound for the label, with his own "Mistakes I've Made' being one of the first tracks they chose to sign going along in that trend.
Today, "Mistakes I've Made" has entered new territory: that of drum and bass production duo DC Breaks. The group has been signed to fellow Brit Andy C's label RAM Records, the leading imprint in the genre, and has helped both Spinnin' and RAM take a leap into the unknown by releasing a their remix of "Mistakes I've Made" together. DC Breaks's adaptation lends itself shockingly well to the track, bringing its energy and intensity up with its production.
