Arches and Karen Harding are a match made in deep house heaven, and it shows on their fresh single "New Love" available now on the Magician's Potion label. Last time we heard from Arches, they were serving up an EARMILK exclusive playlist featuring their hit "Want You", a rework of George Maple's epic "Talk Talk", an Alex Adair remix of Jessie Ware's perennial "Say You Love Me", and many more tracks that proved their acumen as DJs. Harding, on the other hand, has kept the club bumping with the angsty breakup anthem "Say Something", a collaboration with MNEK released on Disclosure's Method Records earlier this year.
On "New Love", both acts shine; Arches brings a hard-hitting, piano-led house beat to the table while Harding belts that she's unhappy with her current bae and is "looking for that new love." Arches plays a bit with Harding's vocal top line, distorting her voice to sound higher then deeper over their tremendous, soul-shaking beat. This song, like so many involving the Magician, is an impressive bit of magic that plays to both artist's strengths. The song gets us eager to hear more from not only both artists but also from the Potion imprint
