As we're all aware, there is a lot of good talent coming out of New York now as there always has been. The city breeds a variety of music, leading us to new artists like 20-year old producer Flaxo. Debuting with his first original Ep entitled Sleepover this week past week, we are immediately impressed.
After listening to each of the songs on Sleepover, it might be more appropriate to call Flaxo a composer rather than producer. Each track has created an atmospheric environment, breaking genre code so far that all this can really be labeled as is electronica. However, there are moments like that on "Only You" where we get an entrance from bigger, harder dance elements that help round out the songs' resolution. Done in subtle ways though, Flaxo has truly kept us intrigued.
