Mattanoll wins Penguin Prison’s “Never Gets Old” remix comp

Back a few months ago Penguin Prison released "Never Gets Old" as a prelude to his forthcoming Lost In New York album, soon to be dropping on May 4th via Downtown Records. The track served up his signature style of glittering indie dance with pop-driven vocals that take one back to the heydays of late 80s music. With ear-catching elements like this, "Never Gets Old" had all the makings a remixer could want, and today we announce the winner from Penguin Prison's official contest, Mattanoll.

Already having garnered attention through reworks of Capital Cities and Odezsa, the French producer possesses a similar electro pop outlook as Penguin Prison but with a bit more flare. His "Never Gets Old" remix stays in this vein, replete with bursting synths and brassy percussion lines that herald blue skies and warm weather of the coming months.
