Last fall, North London rapper PW released his debut EP, From London With Love, which was well-received and put in heavy rotation on BBC radio. He has been laying low since then, working on his craft, growing as an artist, but his resurgence is happening now. At the beginning of the year, he dropped “Get Ready (I’m Litt),” an EDM-ridden banger. Now he gives us, “I Swear,” featuring fellow UK rapper Scorcher, and with production by HeavyTrackerz.
PW gives us an anthemic chorus, “I swear I’m the shit…” but closer inspection, “Middle finger to the industry / Look what it did to me,” reveals this to be more of an intensely personal rhapsody. At almost 5 minutes long, PW engages his listeners with his explosive energy and impassioned rhymes. Keep an eye out for his imminent project Idles Don't Become Idols.
