Today we're super excited to premiere this piece from Sweatson Klank's upcoming EP on his own label. This is particularly exciting as the longtime artist has been a bit of a fixture in the Los Angeles scene for a while now, having experience with the like so Alpha Pup, Brainfeeder, Dublab, and even influencing Low End Theory with his own Sketchbook series in the early 2000's.
Working previously under the name TAKE, the Sweatson Klank is gearing up for a release that's going to be absolutely massive. The first track that has been released for the upcoming EP is a slow, r&B piece that's sultry with the lean dripped feel of the likes of DJ Screw, all the while maintaining the fresh sharpness of Los Angeles. "I'm a Fool," is much jazzier, and beyond sexy. Meshing a world of different samples, this is a track for those that love the old school traditions of hip hop production, and it's easy to imagine that with a couple minor tweaks, rappers are going to be jumping on the beat.
With the two tracks that have been released showing immense range, this EP is a must hear. Check out the first track released off the upcoming EP, as well as "I'm a Fool" below.
